Hey, [livejournal.com profile] urufudo! Did you order your Lucky Star starter set through Amazon.ca? Because I placed my preorder for the normal Volume One and MST3K: The Movie through there and IT HASN'T SHIPPED! They don't even have it in on-hand stock!

I'm heartbroken! (Not really. More pissed off. DUDE, I preordered. ::sadface::)

But there's a package waiting for me up at the post office! Just my cute little commuter pass case (kinda justified because I wanted something lighter than my wallet to carry in the open) and my keychain thingie (not justified at all).

Don't worry about it, if you pre-ordered it from Amazon.ca, you'll get it and they won't charge you anything extra. ^^ It's happened to me before... I guess they just end up selling way more than they expected.

Mine hasn't shipped yet either, as far as I know. o_-

Amazon just set me a "Temporarily out of stock, don't know when it's going to come back in stock!" letter.

I'm not worried about the price, but I'm kinda pissed that US customers through at least Best Buy and Right Stuf, maybe more, got it a week in advance and yet NO ONE in Canada seems to have it in stock. Normally, I'd say it sold out, but I doubt it if no one has it.

It's very annoying, because this was the anime release I was really looking forward this summer. The Haruhi releases went really well last summer and we got everything on time and at a fair price. Kadokawa/Bandai did good. Now with the dollar pretty much at par, this disc is still more money to buy in store! It reminds me of when Fullmetal Alchemist came out and all of the Canadian releases were delayed. T_T

I do know that Haruhi underperformed in the North American market compared to the hype it had within the fandom. I hope this delay isn't related.

BTW, I got my Lucky Star pass case. It's ADORABLE.

Hm, well, at least you received some kind of notice because I haven't gotten anything yet. >_> But that might be because I also ordered it with One Piece?

Yeah, that does piss me off too. I don't understand how Amazon can have absolutely nothing while everyone else gets their stuff so early. If you pre-order it, you should get it, simple as that. It's not fair of them to just suddenly turn around and say they don't know when they're going to get more. WTF is up with that? >_< Urgh.

Hopefully they'll get more in stock soon. I might e-mail them asking WTF they think they're doing. =_=

I ordered MST3K: The Movie with it, so the letter stated that it was Lucky Star causing the hold up. Is One Piece out yet? If you're doing free shipping, they won't break the order.

What worries me is that I've gotten these messages before with DVDs that have gone out of print.

Here's the thing, though: NO ONLINE STORE IN CANADA HAS IT IN STOCK. Examples:
HMV - no product stock, "Usually ships within 10-20 days"
Best Buy - not in the product database
Future Shop - ditto
Dvd-plus.com - still taking preorders
DVD Box Office - "On Order, Ships in 14+ Days"
Chapters - "Usually ships in 1 - 2 weeks"

Something very wrong is going on. Normally I wouldn't question it, but Haruhi was a really smooth release from the same partnership. HMV ALWAYS had it in stock at a fair price.
