Hmm. Amazon is Strange?
May. 6th, 2008 04:59 pmHey,
urufudo! Did you order your Lucky Star starter set through Amazon.ca? Because I placed my preorder for the normal Volume One and MST3K: The Movie through there and IT HASN'T SHIPPED! They don't even have it in on-hand stock!
I'm heartbroken! (Not really. More pissed off. DUDE, I preordered. ::sadface::)
But there's a package waiting for me up at the post office! Just my cute little commuter pass case (kinda justified because I wanted something lighter than my wallet to carry in the open) and my keychain thingie (not justified at all).

Date: 2008-05-08 11:12 am (UTC)Yeah, that does piss me off too. I don't understand how Amazon can have absolutely nothing while everyone else gets their stuff so early. If you pre-order it, you should get it, simple as that. It's not fair of them to just suddenly turn around and say they don't know when they're going to get more. WTF is up with that? >_< Urgh.
Hopefully they'll get more in stock soon. I might e-mail them asking WTF they think they're doing. =_=

Date: 2008-05-08 12:58 pm (UTC)What worries me is that I've gotten these messages before with DVDs that have gone out of print.
Here's the thing, though: NO ONLINE STORE IN CANADA HAS IT IN STOCK. Examples:
HMV - no product stock, "Usually ships within 10-20 days"
Best Buy - not in the product database
Future Shop - ditto
Dvd-plus.com - still taking preorders
DVD Box Office - "On Order, Ships in 14+ Days"
Chapters - "Usually ships in 1 - 2 weeks"
Something very wrong is going on. Normally I wouldn't question it, but Haruhi was a really smooth release from the same partnership. HMV ALWAYS had it in stock at a fair price.
