Jul. 18th, 2007 10:31 amA truckload of liquid sugar is all over the 401 right now. Mm.... SUGAR.
I'm just in one of those mood this week. My sinuses have gone all wacky and by the end of the workday, all I wanna do is sleep. This is why everything of mine has been delayed. I really don't have any interest in doing anything.
Potterdammerung is upon us. It's proved to be quite amusing at work... since I'm waiting. And waiting. And waiting. I'm sadly excited that the Wankocalypse is coming! My only interest in Harry Potter is the extremely messed up fandom.
Why?
¯\(º_o)/¯ I guess it's just like a massive train wreck.

Date: 2007-07-19 04:49 pm (UTC)Check this out though. Mainly more sony Fanboys out on the defense. I've seen a lot of this and much worst. But I linked this one because someone brought up the hardcore gaming not being done anymore (specificly on the Wii, but in general this is happening). See the Wii is trying to appeal to other people rather then just the 18-35 male bracket. And its working.
Penny Arcade had a similar article here. But his article does not so much talk about hardcore versus casual. This is more about the single player game giving way to the multipler. Because he argues that the single player game was the domain of the nerdy introvert. However a majority of people prefere to play games with other people. Game makers are realizing this and now starting to make more game for the masses. Bascially the video game industry is becoming even more consumable for the mass market.
Not to wank or anything but this did make me shed a tear. I liked the single player game and I liked the game made for the nerd. The one that takes 60 hours to beat. So it makes me sad that it will become more of niche. But then again, I don't play video games like I use too.
Many apologies about the tangent!
