Anne Rice - Fact or Fiction?

Steff! I was dumping one of those PoG episodes... and there's an interview of what amounts to Commander Rick asking Anne Rice what amounts to Self Inserts.

It sorta goes like this...

Rick: Do you base the characters in your stories on people you know in real life?
Anne: Why, no! Of course not! Authors that do that are only doing that to get back at those people. I perfer to create my own characters and explore them fully as people in their own right.
Rick: Um, but didn't you say in your biography that Lestat's mom is based on your mom?
Anne: Uh.... uh...

Okay, it's not as amusing as the Fandom Wank silliness, but I still laughed.
