More from the PoG tape dumps, although this one flat out BAFFLES me.

This wouldn't bother me except...

A discussion on character weight and canon verses IP&S stuffs. Mostly boring. )

"Zannen, Canada", a Canadian website focusing on the current state of anime up here, is currently scanlating (scanning and translating, as there's no official English translation) the Argentinian comic series Cybersix:
http://www.zannen.ca/cybersix.php

You might remember this comic from the animated version that ran very briefly (about a month) on Fox Kids in the states and much longer (going through the series several times over) on Teletoon. It should be noted that many Canadian cartoons from the late 1990s often had very unusual source material. For example, there was Night Hood, which was based on the Arsène Lupin novels.

Cybersix is probably one of the oddest of this group. The show and comic follow the strange adventures of a genetic experiment who battles her creator in a fictional South Americian city. Said creator was Nazi scientist who fled to South America during the fallout of World War II so he continue his work. Oh, and she cross dresses during the day as a male teacher, which makes things complicated because there's a major character who is best friends with her "male" self and has a crush on her "female" self, yet for some reason can't quite figure out that it's the same person.

Much like the "nude party" episode of the Untalkative Bunny, it was one of those things that needed to be seen to be believed. My father watched the series once through (he was a fan of European comics, something this series is closest too) and used to mention it to people at work, who of course didn't believe him until they actually watched the thing.

While this did air on Canadian kids/family television, be warned that original comic is aimed at an adult audience in terms of subject matter and all that other fun stuff.

...yet, it still doesn't explain how that darn cape doesn't get tangled up in everything.
