I'm here 7am - 6pm today, but that doesn't matter because later things are going to rock.

Yesterday was long too, as Mike and I tried to watch all of season 7 of Red Green and failed after the first disk. We got through "Running of the Bulls", "Swiss It Up", "The Implosion", "Adopt-a-Highway", "The Strange Ranger", and "Big Guy Little Guy" after which any hope of finishing more episodes died. Life sucks like that sometimes. For the most part, they were okay episodes; Stranger Ranger finally explained a plot point that I had missed and was lost on. Mike didn't really care for Adopt-a-Highway, but it has seriously one of the best adventure segments ever when Red and Bill try to remove a tree stump. It reminded me that the adventure segments were a LOT more entertaining when the physical comedy relied on trick photography and the actors acting stupid, not the lame special effects that became the norm later on. These earlier ones tend to have a much more surreal factor, with haunted logs, snorkeling in the fall leaves and the bonfire that takes off like a rocket and don't have the "We tossed this into After Effects!" appearence.

So, is there a point to this? Uh, no. However, SLWatson mentioned that she wanted to see a fic from me. Let it be known that I am not a request whore, but I've been working on my silly fic of death. This part kicked my ass, because the plot that I thought I was writing did a 180 on me and then this came out the other end. In a way, I'm glad, as the story as I originally plotted it sucked ass; a few bits and pieces were trite and the way that it now appears to be going is a bit deeper. The main reason for this silly story was to cover an event from the missing time in the RP, something which ran from late January to sometime in April. No more context as to why this "missing time" happened, although it resulted in the seperate timeline that the stories Stargazing and Lost Days take place in. Anyway, by the time we returned to the "normalverse", several of the characters were carrying themselves differently. This was to explain why one of mine was doing so.

New part is going up in a locked post. I want to do the meme I stole from Steff here

If you are in the Toronto area, you need to book tickets for The Frantics: Still a Disappointment to Their Parents. If you are not in the Toronto area, FIND SOME WAY TO COME!!!

We saw the preview show tonight and words can describe how awesome this show is. Okay, it's my very first live Frantics performance, but it just rocks. The level of energy is amazing. The show has a mix of old material with lots of new and many of the "big" characters and themes pop up throughout. While the skits are rumoured to change every night, there is a bit of a very loose plot that runs through the show. And by very loose, I mean a handful of skits. The payoff, though...

Huge honking spoilers under here. Don't read if you're going to see it. )
