I hate crap characterization.
Aug. 28th, 2004 03:07 amWe have a kitten! A little black ball of fur named Midnite (yeah, with that spelling). I'm right now calling her Midi for short, heh. Midi the cat, she doesn't produce sound on her own, but our brains take her information and play her mews in our heads. That was lame.
Anywho, I was rereading those X-Ville post thingies because I was going to link to them on Signal Loss's fan creation page. You don't see PoG-related fic everyday. Although I had read most of the Prisoners of Gravity related bits, I sometimes didn't read a lot of surrounding fic. I did tonight while reviewing and dang it, it's corny. As in ultra corny and needlessly dramatic. At least TTPCTS had a demented sense of humour to it. At the end of one part, a Mary Sue character who is both carrying triplets and fighting vampires (how does someone do that, by the way?) suddenly has her water break. Somehow my mind wanted Rick to throw down anything he was holding and say:
"DAMMIT! I've had to here with this avatar and vampire bullshit. F**k you all, I'm going back to the satellite to watch Star Trek reruns with Nance!"
And then storm off. Everything is so OOC already and I understand that fic is nice to explore ideas, but Rick is a character that will run if frightened. That's why he's in the bloody satellite to begin with! And he sure as hell hasn't matured any from canon, since he's afraid to use a gun. HE WOULD RUN IF PUT UNDER PRESSURE.

... why do I bother, really? It's like asking why there's no Cain Fury-based Fullmetal Alchemist crap out there.. But I like geeky characters who happen like doggies. Dang it, he's so my match. ;_;
I better sleep, since Katiers and friends and me are going to Canada's Wonderland in the morning. I'm tempted to visit the kiddie areas, although it means seeing the total rape and pillage of my childhood. At least I have a photo keychain from the park with me, mom and my dead dad and grandmother on it. *clings to keychain*
