The Truth About the Awful Waffle

I managed to track down Lisa's mom today at church. Since she was one of the four to visit the home of the Awful Waffle (along with her husband and my parents), I asked her about it because I could find no info online.

The name of the place wasn't Awful Waffle - It was Waffle King. Or, rather R Waffle King now due to some legal reason. It's in Altoona.

And I found a picture online!

I feel enlightened. Now I want to visit. Lisa went there in the late 90s and according to info online, the place still exists.

Curses! When someone metions Altoona always seems to be the one in Pennsylvania... Wheres the love for Altoona, Iowa or Altoona, Flordia or Altoona, Alabama or Altoona, Kansas or better yet Altoona, Wisconsin?

*shakes head* I'm just bitter that Altoona, Pennsylvnia is one of the probable locations of Clay and Lar's Flesh Barn.

I have equal love for all Altoonas. It just happens that R Waffle King lives in Altoona, Pennsylvnia.

Ten bucks says that the location of Clay and Lar's Flesh Barn is Altoona, Wisconsin. I looked it up on a road atlas and it's not that far from St. Paul.

Yeah, I think so too. Altoona would be greatly improved by a eating establishment that isn't a bar or a gas station. And since Eau Claire is crawling with places to get sushi, they might actualy get customers!

Altoona is 85 miles away, tops, from St. Paul. I know it's 72 miles from the first road marker.
