I'm not sure how it happened, but I wandered around online and bumped into another kid's TV show I used to watch.

Let it be known that I love geeky and nerdy characters. This is a side effect of my childhood.

You see, I've always been a geek, but when I was young there were no other people like me around at school. It made it feel like something was wrong with me. Not in the goofy sense, but in a painful sense, like I was a freak that didn't belong in the world.

However, in cartoons, books, movie, video games and such, I was able to find geeky characters I could relate closely to. I could find other people like me, even though they're fictional. Although it may sound akward, it actually did help me get through the tough times when I was young.

And why in heaven's name would I watch a silly show like Bots Master? For D'Nerd, of course!

...he looks a lot like Mike the TV from Reboot, although he predates that series.

D'Nerd was supposed to be the stereotypical too-smart-for-his-own-good book nerd. Seeing that the series already had a genius in the brains department, D'Nerd really is just filler. Maybe they needed a wimpy nerd to be foiled in episodes. I don't write this stuff, so I dunno.

He had a cute voice though. He sounds like a cross between me and Figment from Epcot. You can hear him here and in the cheesy opening.

The one of the few episodes of Bots Master I remember watching had the poor guy going on a mission of some sort. Seeing that D'Nerd mostly kicked around at home instead of in the field, you can guess right away that something very wrong is going to happen and it does. He gets seperated from the main group, found out teh evil doers (tm) and all hell breaks loose. Fairly standard plot as far as American cartoons go, although something really creepied me out about that episode, which is why I still remember parts of it. I can't remember exactly what I found so creepy, though. Odd.

Oh, and if anyone knows the title of that episode or can get me a copy, please leave a comment. I really want to know why my memory of that episode bothers me so.

D'Nerd did have an interesting career after the series ended. Here we see him co-hosting an episode of Second Nature with Enrico Gruen... ::shot::

I'm sorry. It had to be said.... Hmm... hooray for cheesy and strange 90s kid's cartoons.

Credit from almost everything linked to goes to this site, yo. Sorries to the site owner and I'll remove the links if he complains.
