Wednesdays suck.
Jan. 21st, 2004 05:26 pmI offically now hate Wednesdays. Why? Let's start:
Classes start at 9am in the morning and go to 6pm in the evening.
9 am - 12 pm: Photography
12 pm - 1pm: Storyboarding
1 pm - 3 pm: Break
3 pm - 6pm: Colour Theory (AKA Photography under a different name)
First, I don't eat breakfast often, but I prefer to eat an early lunch rather than I late one. Since I don't have lunch until one, this really messes up me. I need to eat at certian times because of the caf's hours. With the late lunch, I'm not hungry when dinner is served. I usually have to pick up dinner and stuff it in my fridge because by the time I want to eat dinner, the caf will be closed.
Second, the 9am - 1pm of solid classes is tough. By the time it's over, I don't want to pay attention anymore and I need chow.
Third, the two hour break is really too long. I usually go back to res to kill time, since most of the people I kick around work during the second hour.
Fourth, 9 am is too early. It's COLD in the morning. Tomorrow's windchill is supposed to be -40 in the morning! Today I just sat in my warm, toasty bed and wondered "why do I bother with my morning classes?"
Colour printing is going to be fun... I'm not sure if I'm going to bet on the photo paper races or how long it'll be until the machine gets jammed.
AH! Global is reporting that many schools in Southern Ontario have outdated heating systems. I COULD HAVE TOLD YOU THAT! I went to a 75 year old high school in the east end of Hamilton. Translation: I went to the Canadian version of Boston Public. We always wore jackets, hats and gloves to class. It was normal. We even had to go to class when the boiler broke down. ::sigh:: It's a sad state of affairs, but it's nothing new.
The ads for the Red Green Show on Thunder Bay Television (CBC version) amuse the crap outta me. They are so outdated, using clips from "The New Red Green Show" episodes and listing the air time as Fridays at 8:30. "The New Red Green Show" changed back to "The Red Green Show" in season 8 (5 years ago) and the show hasn't aired at that listed time since I was in high school. It made me smile to see old-school Harold and Dougie Frankin on an "offical" ad again.
