Shine on, Delta, you crazy diamond!
Apr. 16th, 2009 12:34 amSo! The province has a new tool. Check out my old high school!

I don't know how correct these numbers are, but these are the more interesting ones.
Applied Math - Percentage of students achieving the provincial standard: 8%
BWHAHAHAHAHA... not shocking.
Percentage of students whose first language is not English: 3.4%
This number is extremely low for the province and even the city, especially combined with:
Percentage of students who live in lower-income households: 25%
The area is still the stronghold of factory workers and such. Exciting!

Date: 2009-04-16 06:10 pm (UTC)Welcome to Westdale, my high school.

Welcome to a different world. Basically everything is above provincial average. Percentage of students whose first language is much higher then Delta. And really that's the difference I find. Recent immigrant families tend to have a much healthier work ethnic when it comes to school and achieving then the "White Trash" of neighborhoods like mine and to the north that went to Westdale. We were the those that brought down the average :P
