So, I've decided to document the week in photos! Originally this was because it was getting warmer and I figured I'd take advantage of the warm weather and take pictures of Toronto. Why? I love Toronto. Living here is my dream.

Except, IT GOT REALLY COLD. Just over the weekend, but it's hard to take pics when it's a million below.

I also need more practice taking photos. The following really aren't that good, but this is a starting point. ::nods:: And now, a very amaturish look at my Monday!

A new month, a new Metropass. I swear, the TTC is just going out of their way to make these look ugly. The image on the pass is of the mural at Dupont station called "Spadina Summer Under All Seasons".

Welcome to scenic Davisville station! It's one of only a few open-air subway platforms in the system. It's GREAT during the summer, but really cold this time of the year.

Davisville is one of two stations that I usually use for going to work, depending on what bus I get first. Usually I don't use it going home, unless I'm going grocery shopping.

Cutting down Yonge on the way to the office. The harsh early morning shadows make it colder than it should be. In this pic, you can see the Hockey Hall of Fame, a government building and one of the filming locations for Overdrawn at the Memory Bank (that's the building to the left).

The lobby at the Toronto Star is really tacky, but I love it. This is the view from the second floor.

Down this dull hallway is my office. We're in the building that used to be used for the printing presses, so the hallways are kinda dull. We share this hall with the gym, the company health offices and a union.

Heading out for lunch. That out-of-place building is the Royal York, a building that was once the tallest in the British Empire. Not so much now, when it can get lost among all the other tall buildings.

Becuase I know someone is going to ask, there's the CN Tower! A lot of people assume that you can see the tower from anywhere, but that's really not the case. In the front, you can see the GO bus terminal.

Also - check out the banding in that photo! WOW. I should really upload a better copy.

Front street, over by the market. Yesterday was really too bright for good photos.

If you're around Toronto enough, you'll see a LOT of these now. They're marked handwells - a design flaw resulted in a risk of stray-voltage from them. The city is currently in the process of replacing them.

Nighttime in the city! This is about 6pm.

This place is located at the foot of Yonge Street. It's hard to tell, but that is actually a giant boat.

Blurry shot of the sunset, looking down Queen's Quay.

I love this idea...and great shots. I really need to find a reason to visit TO again, it's been a few years.

And maybe I should do this photo exercise too...I'm always looking for a reason to take pictures. Hmmmm...

I love TO, general Canadian bitterness about the city and its issues with the whole "World Class" deal aside.

It's an interesting exercise. ::laughs:: I think I might be getting better. Maybe.

If only I'd jumped to the right a little faster in that one pic...
