HAPPY NEW YEARS!
Jan. 1st, 2009 04:29 pmGrats on everyone making it to 2009! Now, we shall all go out back, kick the shit out of 2008, and steal its lunch money. WHO'S WITH ME?
I'll be honest that 2008 was terrible, both for myself and quite a few of my friends. That said, the grim does remind me about how grateful I am for the good times and there were quite a few of those as well, tucked in among all the suck. Whatever doesn't kill me can only make me stronger, and if there's anything I can take out of 2008, it's that. Time to move on.
So, yes, resolutions! Because it's a shiny new year and I have the drive to do this!
1 - Stop procrastinating, because I'm scary good at doing that.
2 - Focus more on building up relationships with my real friends and not pandering and bending over for those former friends with a chip on their shoulder that I can never fill. They are not worth the emotional trauma I've put myself through over the past year. I'm 25 years old and need to take control of this. Note that the "former friends" doesn't apply to anyone reading this, so don't wig out about it.
3 - Get out to Maine again, even if it requires Steff and I mailing ourselves out there.
4 - Upload more PoG.
5 - Do more fandom stuff. 4 and 5 might be related. But yes, get more in touch with my fandom self. I've been working on this for the past while and enjoying myself greatly.
6 - Learn to cook more foods. I've been going a decent job of this, but there's always room to grow.
I think this is a decent mindset for the new year. :)
