Stupid work
Jul. 12th, 2003 12:37 amToday after the shift:
Darren: We needed someone to count at a Roots in Oakville at 6:30 am.
Me: Okay
Darren: It's tomorrow
Me: ...
That so sucks. I've been working everyday since Sunday and now don't get a break until next Thursday.
And then there's also FAAAAAAAAAAN MUSIC!
Flashbulb Junk by Dan Studnicky
I like LucasArts remixes, but with Maniac Mansion all that seems to appear is remixes of the main theme. This is fine and all, but there is more music beyond just the opening theme. Finding this made my day. From the title, it's pretty apparent that this is a remix of Flashbulb Funk, Michael's theme from the NES version of the game. I've heard some character theme remix-type things before as MIDIS, but never a soild MP3 (not counting that rap thing 0_0 ). The opening is a little off sounding, but wait until the half way point where the song finally fully kicks in. That's some pretty cool stuff. It's got a jazzy feel to it that reminds me of Offbeat Cinema. Hey LucasArts - if you are ever going to revisit the series, this is what I expect Mike's theme to sound like in a new game.
