It's been a fairly violent few days in the city. o__O

It took me an hour and a half to get from work to Finch Station, and it took Jer 2 hours to get home (he probably left a bit later than I did) and he has to go a third of the distance that I do. >_> All because traffic was rerouted from the 401 to Steeles.

I hope they catch the fucker that did that. =_=

And yeah, it has been really violent over the last couple of days. o_O I hope that's the last of it.

Subway traffic seemed higher too. I think a lot of people were trying to wait out the worst of it.

Yeah, apparently there's been 4 shootings in the last 24 hours, along with several more murders on top of that. It's really strange because the weather is starting to cool off and it always seems like that causes crime to cool off too.

I guess compared to a lot of other places, 4 shootings isn't super horrible or anything but it's pretty bad for Toronto. :/ At least most of the murders and shootings are usually gang related... it's pretty rare to see someone completely random get caught up in that.

Maybe people are trying to get their shoot-on before summer is completely gone? XP "Oh crap, we didn't shoot this guy and it's almost the end of summer! Crap, let's get a move on!" >_>;;

Toronto is a pretty easy-going city when it comes to gun violence. I think it has to do with the cold over a good chunk of the year. I'm not really fazed by it, more lifting an eyebrow at the timing.

Yeah, the rule of thumb is "Don't get tied up in gang activity and you won't have any trouble". On the other hand, I hate this "culture of fear" that it brings to the club district.
