That Was a Decent Waste of a Day...
Jul. 26th, 2008 06:46 pmI think I've won against the fruit flies in my apartment. Haven't seen one all day. I didn't mean for them to be an issue, but this was a combo of cooking with fresh fruits and veggies, the summer heat and that I don't generate much trash, so I only take the trash out once every two weeks or so. So, they caught up with me. They're mostly cleaned out now.
The response from yesterday's misadventure has been great! I was worried that people would get the wrong idea, but that doesn't seem to be the case. On the other hand, I was annoyed to discover that she decided to restore my "Author" page after I cleared the content as an admin. BEFORE this happened. Thankfully, all it has listed is the amount of time I've been online and a link to my LJ. Add me to the list of people frustrated by her complete arrogance when it comes to other people's information.
And since wank isn't wank without recipes, here's one for a basic but taste casserole. I generally half the recipe and then box up half for lunch the next day. It reheats well. I usually use Fontina cheese instead of Gorgonzola.

Oh: and wash the fruit basket thoroughly to get rid of eggs.

Date: 2008-07-27 03:03 pm (UTC)The solution is to be more prompt about getting the trash out. I've been doing it daily since the battle started. I figured that they can't live without food and they can't breed without nesting material. Remove the two and you remove the fruit flies.
