Piccy Art Thing

Did a pic for slwatson today, as a response to this challenge.

Please forgive the quality of the photograph, as I don't have a scanner. I have to use my digital camera. Bah.





This is a multi-medium piece, done with tech pens, markers, a pastel pencil, some charcoal and a paintbrush, drawn on pastel paper. The paper actually messed things up a bit, because it sucks in a lot of the marker ink.

I really like the detail on it. Especially the box, which owns my soul with all the things in it, and the stains on it. The only suggestion I might make would be that he needs more hair on the top of his head; if you follow the curve of his face up, you'll see what I mean.

The folds on the arm of the coat are just really, really awesome. Thanks for this! It's a sweet picture!

Darn, you're right. It looks like he has a big forehead.

The stuff in the box is based on stuff on my desk... and it's MESSY. Glad you liked it. :D
