Confirmed licenses that showed up over the weekend OF INTEREST TO ME...

Yen Press confirmed both the Haruhi Suzumiya manga AND light novels. Manga is just a fluffy side note, the novels are the big deal. Comic starts coming out this fall, the novels will have to wait until next spring.

And, COMPLETELY out of left field, Yen Press announced Yen Plus, an anthology mag that will feature Square Enix license for the next two years. The big deal here for me? The Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni manga will be appearing here before it appears in graphic novel form (which will have to wait until May 2009). That said, they're only "previewing" Higurashi there, which makes me thing that it'll only run Onikakushi-hen (Spirited Away by the Demon) arc. :P

Rumour is that the third season of Higurashi will be annouced this week or so for a winter 2008 release. No clue as to what arcs they're going to try to pull off, but the second season ends with what could be seen as the set up to Saikoroshi-hen/Dice Killing. The following arcs haven't animated...

- Dice Killing
- Penalty Loving
- Daybreak
- Demon Exposing
- Overnight
- Reality Breaking
- Whirligig
- Exorcism
- Canal Drying
- The new arcs from the DS games

But the problem is that most of those are either AUs or "What Ifs" that don't tie to the main story. But I still want Daybreak animated, because Daybreak IS CRACK.

Um. Real posts will follow. >_>
