Did the Equalizer NOT ship to stores in Canada? I can't find it anywhere without ordering it in!

Heck, I found the third volume of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, a disc that I never expected to see because it was released RIGHT before Geneon pulled out of North America. And, uh, yeah I did break down and bought the sucker (it was only $12 over at the Silver Snail) and grabbed volume one for almost as cheap, so now I need volume two of a series that may NEVER see a license rescue and a complete release due to content. Think X-Files crossed with Groundhog Day, with more violence and the main characters being kids. Well, kinda.

Also, the series with the GREATEST ending theme ever. Not because of content, but the ending is in English and comes out with some strange results.

I WANT TO BE RIVER IN LIFE. I can't be the only one that hears it like that. The floaty text bits are from the Next Episode previews. It's something from the original source material that I wasn't expecting to be adapting, a series of poems that hint at the scale of the main plot.

It's really a shame, since it's a great series but the content turns people off for clear reasons.

Quite good, though I haven't worked my way through the entire thing. Little in the way of extra features, but it's just awesome to have it on DVD. What I find fascinating about it is how, in many ways, ahead of it's time the show was (particularly in how much of a renegade vigilante-type that McCall can be at times). But that's contrasted with some very quintessential 80s cliches that show up pretty regularly. There's one terrible episode (in which McCall bonds with his son at a cottage) that I don't remember. I either missed it at the time or just blanked it out. :)

Credit card: oh, I hear you. Still have work to do on that end myself. Sigh...

Oh, I'm FULLY expecting 80s cliches. It's such a guilty pleasure for me. >:) I'm hoping that the darker feel of the show is a refreshing change from the action series I've been watching as of late, which I'm watching for the camp.

Did Universal package it in a set of slim cases? Not that it's going to effect my purchase, but I'm thinking back to the strange packaging that Universal did on Knight Rider - the first season was this really big and fancy fold out package (with piles of extras, for some reason), but all the later seasons were just 3 slim cases in a box.

My credit card was paid off, but took a small hit when my sister came to town. It happens.
