My feet are SO sore. I walked down Yonge from Eglinton station to Rosedale station. Because I could. HA! Next "On Foot" hit list is Mount Pleasant.
(On a small side note, parts of this stretch of Yonge remind me of Thunder Bay. Of note, I think it was Yonge south of Eglinton, heading to Davisville. There's a lot of empty space after one point with low rise buildings and some very old and out of date highrise buildings, which reminded me of Memorial Avenue, heading... uh... south(?), out of Intercity and into Fort William. This is, of course, if you overlook that you can see the downtown highrises and the subway stops and that it is, indeed, Yonge Street.
Oh, Thunder Bay, I wish I could quit you.
Also, parts of Summerhill are very nice on foot. The LCBO is surprisingly pretty with Christmas lights.)
And then I went to order my (real) phone and internet. It took TWO HOURS to fill out all of the forms. The guy was new and we didn't realize that beause this is a new phoneline, there's a pile of background checks and assorted nonsense.
Yes, it wouldn't be an issue if I was just getting internet or even a cellphone, but home phones are DARN WELL complex. Also had to shell out a $200 deposit. 0_0
My apartment is still full of boxes. :(

Date: 2007-12-05 11:51 am (UTC)I use to take those walks all the time. I recommend Queen Street East (Get starting at Coxwell), the Toronto Islands (though maybe not in the winter) and see if you can find Bluffer's Park. I wanted a house boat there.
