Oct. 29th, 2007 04:03 pmThe remains of BBI are (is?) restarting Mystery Science Theater, in some way, shape or form:
"Beginning November 5th, BBI will be launching its very own website at MST3K.com. The site will feature brand-new animated adventures of Crow, Tom Servo and Gypsy. We're told the goal is to have one new adventure each week (though "some settling may occur with shipping," they added). The Web site will also feature work from the original series (which BBI is now calling "the legacy series"), behind-the-scenes footage and other material culled from the BBI vault."
Don't know what to make of it. Reserving the right to comment until this is released, but I have a gut feeling that this isn't going to end well at all.
"The new adventures of the 'bots are being produced by BBI President, MST3K series writer and the returning voice of Gypsy, Jim Mallon. He will be joined on this new experiment by veteran MST3K series writer and performer Paul Chaplin (who will be on the writing team and will be providing the voice of Crow) along with new writing and performing talent."
What is that, Crow's third voice now? Maybe I should be more open minded, but I can't shake this queasy feeling.
It's Halloween... ALMOST... and I am not in a Halloweener-mood. Got a guild party on WoW tonight, which is totally and completely lame but I'm running one of the events and I'm going to enjoy it, DARN IT.
Other Halloween ideas? I'm considering posting the MST Chronicles to FanFicRants as a "Tale of Horror", and MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE finding and tossing up one of the Halloweeny Prisoners of Gravity episodes, but I can't make a big promise about that. The issue there is that for some reason, my Warcraft guild is REALLY packing in raids this week and, like the idiot I am, I've signed up for most of them. Probably going to drop out of some, because that's waaaay too much to take on.
That and I've been randomly feeling "Blah" on and off again. I'm hoping this changes in a month.
