Has anyone ventured into framing old album covers?

See, my best friend and I went exploring today, including a trip into an antique store. There were many, many used records and she managed to uncover some old, but in very decent shape, Genesis albums in the stacks. By the end of the day, I had vinyl copies of Trick of the Tail, Wind & Wuthering, And Then There Were Three, Duke and Abacab.

Now, I have no idea what state these records are in. The packaging looks to be in extremely good shape (down to the owner keeping the plastic wrap), so my guess is that they might be playable. That said, I don't own a turn table and one is not really in the moving budget.

Small discourse, but this small fact prevented me from buying the strangest find of all, which was a SEALED comedy of the Smith & Smith's Comedy Mill album. I didn't even know it existed! I would have grabbed it as a curiosity if it had very early Red Green material, except A) I was buying a stack of Genesis and B) I have no way to listen to it. If the Red Green Show still had fanbrats (it did while the series was on the air), I could have sold it off on the nearly nude image of Peter Keleghan on the front! Then again, I'm not really a fan of much that Steve Smith has done outside of Red Green and Smith & Smith can be an awful show at times, therefore Comedy Mill has a potential for a high rate of failure.

Moving along...

I didn't buy the records for the record, but as a source of potential apartment decor. That probably made a million people in the world wince at once or cry out in pain. I like a Genesis covers and the larger vinyl art as an appeal that the smaller CD art lacks. You can make out all these little details in the Trick of the Tail art that got lost when it was shrunk down.

How the heck do I display these puppies?

I know there are frames for album covers. IKEA carried them a few years back, but I don't know if they still do now. Is there anywhere in the Hamilton/Toronto area I could buy these in a store, or would I have to order them? When I get a frame the proper size, should I keep the record in the cover to protect it or should I remove it and store it elsewhere (dark, cool, dry place)? I know that the vinyl needs to be aired properly and behind glass is probably not a good idea.

Just an idea I had kicking around.
