That was freaking AWESOME.

Got some swag, got to hear some of my favorite songs, I THINK I made it onto the screen (during the lead up to Domino, when everyone was on the screen) and almost died coming home on the QEW. All in all, a full evening.

Highlights? Well, I'm musically stupid so take it with a grain of salt, but my highlight of the night was probably Domino, which I was greatly looking forward to hearing performed live for personal reasons. Los Endos was freakin' amazing, though. It's the type of song that I've always mentally connected with the rest of the album - in fact, I'd really would like to take Trick of the Tail all in at once rather than sample the songs one by one. And yet, Los Endos managed to stand on it's own. Also, I rather liked Second Home by the Sea, so maybe I was just in the mood for less lyrics and more pure music.

Since I'm more visually based than audio.... FLASHING BLINKIE LIGHT SHOW MAKES RACHIE HAPPY. Fireworks go boom!

Sadly, I couldn't sneak into the roadies' luggage and getting to Buffalo tomorrow isn't going to happen, despite me wanted to go on the ride again.

Was it worth waiting 8 years to see them live? HECK. YEAH.

Yes, that was a rather amazing presentation, wasn't it. Not only were the band in fine form, performing as if they'd barely aged, but the actual effects magic was fantastic. I love how they worked out the new big screen background. That was fascinating to watch. And yes, that was a very muso-oriented set, which suited me fine.

I'll probably write a big post about it tomorrow, like I did for the Police concert back in July.

Lee.
