Jul. 27th, 2007 11:55 amAcross the creek from the building I grew up in until I was 4 or so, there was a small piece of land with an old-style fast food joint (Arnold's Drive-In), a donut shop (don't remember the original name, but it was a Country Style and a Coffee Time at some point) and an ice cream store.
Yeah, the donut and ice cream places are now a CONDO SHOWROOM. Nothing is sacred anymore.
The Toronto real estate market is so wacked. Business is slowing down and yet the housing market is still out of control.
slwatson mentioned the housing prices where she is and I nearly passed out. I have $1500 saved for a bachelor apartment and I'm worried that it won't be enough for something clean, critter free and near the TTC. :(
