teddog: (Trumpy you can do stupid things!)

It's funny, but the people that drove you insane back in high school? They still drive you insane today.

Also, work is COMPLETELY DEAD. Nothing is coming up from the states and anything local is so early that I can't really do anything. Waiting on lunch and the potential to do personal work.

Ha! Last night was so stupid. I popped on Warcraft to help Kate with her Light In Dark Places quest, since yesterday was the last night to do it and we two-manned some of Lower Blackrock Spire. Afterward, we decided to go to Teldrassil to see the fireworks, since there the show takes place over the water and you watch it from Rut'theran Village.

So, Spence came along as his mage (gotta love that he can teleport to any of the capitals now) and we eventually summoned Mike's shaman (gotta love also having a high end warlock). There was free booze, so the four of us got our characters completely wasted.

It was at this point that Mike made an interesting discovery: the booze gives a 30 second buff that acts like a slowfall - your character can fall from a large height without taking much damage. We played around with this by jumping off of the docks, until Mike suggests "Let's jump off of something really high. Let's jump off of Teldrassil!"

I never said we were SMART.

So, with a dozen servings of booze in hand, Fel, Aromi and Hean (Merd now offline because Kate was tired) climbed to the top of the big tree and cannonballed from the waterfall in Darnassus, swigging drinks as they fell to keep the buff on. Quite the sight, if anyone was watching. 0_0

What's sad is that a Teddy Ruxpin movie makes more sense than a Chipmunks movie, other than there already was a Chipmunks movie that bombed back in the 1980s. But, the Teddy Ruxpin cartoon, if my memory is correct, had a serialized storyline. I wouldn't say it was good storytelling, but it was a fantasy universe with defined rules, concepts and goals.

The idea of remaking old licenses hurts my poor little head. Next summer is bring us a "reimaged" Speed Racer and word is the 2009 will have He-Man and Thundercats.
