Okay, so Children's Week on WoW. Did the Azeroth quest on my mage Stasya and the Outland one on Fel last night. The Azeroth one was cute but a little dull - you take the kid around to a couple of sites, buy him ice cream and then get him Jaina's autograph. The Jaina part was probably the best part of the questline.
The Outlands one, though, is SO Mary Sue-ish. Yeah, I understand it's Kid's Week and it's supposed to be cute, but PLEASE. It is a bit more structured than the Aeroth chain and the events are scripted and thus allow for more plot, although they appear to be bugged somewhat. I wasn't sure what was supposed to be happening at the Dark Portal...
As for the "plot", I think the big build up in the future is that Dornaa and Salandria will eventually grow up and fall in love with each other. Oh come on, like you can think of something better! WoW is no stranger to lesbians.
Other than that, only a few other things grabbed my attention in the new patch.
- The change to Mend Pet, of course. No more channeling!
- I don't have my 300 riding, so no Netherdrake chain. What the HECK is up with that, yo? I can understand not riding the darn thing until I get my riding skill up, but I'd like to work towards it and earn cash at the same time.
- I could, however, start the Skyguard chain. Which is is fine, because I like nether rays.
- The Naaru talk now. Or, I've never noticed that they talked before, because all I got from them was "You feel _____" when I tried to interact with them, so I was under the impression that they communicated through emotions instead of language. I talked to O'ros and V'eru last night, which was interesting to say the least.
