So, after 70 levels and a /played time that's frighteningly high, I cancelled my WoW account again.

Here's the thing.

- Fel's level 70, but a geared-for-non-instance level 70. I can't run a level 70 instance without sucking hard at it. This means I have to start the round of instances from the start of Outlands.
- I like instances, but they're a pain in the butt with my life right now. I DON'T HAVE TIME. By the time I'm geared up and ready for one on a weeknight, it's already 8pm and I'm tired. Tired = crap playing on my part and I don't want to be the reason for a wipe.
- Okay, I want to do the Children's Week crap, but it's getting pushed off until patch 2.1. There's no release date for this stupid thing yet. UGH!
- I NEED A BREAK. :(

My only interests in WoW right now is that stupid fishing contest every Sunday. XD

I have also discovered that all I really want in life is a slushie. ::nodnods::

Hear hear,

I mean, people are expecting me to do Shatter halls when I'm barely fit to do Sethekk Halls. Finally the last straw came when a level 67 Gnome Rogue /said to me "Why are weapons so *&^$# for your level?" I just flew off on my gryphon. I'm very wow out.

Bliz dropped the ball there.

The problem I think is rooted in that there's only 10 levels in the Burning Crusade. With the original game, there was some "down time" between instances you could dick around with. With Burning Crusade, you more or less have to live inside the instances in order to be on top of your game or you fall behind. Which is so stupid, because I can fight normal PvE guys just fine even with my current gear, but at the same time the difficulty level of the instances is scaling out of control.

To make matters worse, the "No-Lifers", like that stupid gnome, like to grief people if their gear isn't top of the line. If we bitch about it, we'll get told that we don't put forth enough "effort" in the game. I've looked at this situation and I can't find a good way out of it. I come home anywhere from 6:30pm - 7:15pm. Usually then I have to finish cooking dinner, eat dinner, do some chores and after that I have to crawl off to my computer. I then have to find a group, get geared for the instance, probably wipe several times... and I can't stay up late, because I have to be out of bed by 6:00/6:10 the next morning. There goes my evening.

I mean... it's almost summer. I want to go out during the weekends and DO crap. I have DVDs I want to watch, books I want to read, pictures I want to draw, and, heaven help me, fic I wouldn't mind writing.

I've found hardcore raiders complaining about this too - they can't bring along casual raiders in a 25 man without being them being a serious risk in terms of wiping. The issue? GEAR. There's really no middle ground between "casual" and "hardcore" anymore
