I can never take the song "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" seriously. I know I have friends who love it and all.. yet... my first time hearing it was in the music video. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THIS VIDEO?!

Allow me to show you!

See, instead of some grand epic scene or references to various fandom couples or whatever you imagine, this song brings up images of a school teacher on some cracky erotic dream about her students. I'm assuming this school is Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, judging from the light-up eyes and flying. And the ninjas. I love those ninjas.

Now, there are some music videos from this era that I actually enjoy. The whole thing stinks of cheap video tape because of the look of the dark lighting. It's something that's very nostalgic because you simply don't see productions with this type of feel. However, "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" is so dead serious at being this odd work of art that it dates itself completely and now just comes across as creepy.

ANYWHO, I'm on a wait right now for the info on a project to come through. Been reading Flintlocke's Guide to Azeroth, which is turning out to be funniner than I thought. Currently at "The Scarlet Hootenanny", although it's hard to read it at work without laughing. Most of the comics are fine, but a choice few like this one and especially... crap, I can't find it, but it's a discussion about how Flintlocke's family had brought war and grief to Azeroth through history, after which the comic cuts to a screen shot of the first Warcraft with a dwarf saying something like "Open the Dark Portal! What are you? Chicken?" Laughing under the desk there.
