teddog::wonders why one of her PoG DVDs is in a Knight Rider case:: Can I make a crossover joke? Can I?
It's 12am and I feel like baking cookies. Oddly enough, mom is allowed cookies on the diet, but they have to be plain oatmeal cookies. I think I might just bake some for the sake of using some of the oatmeal we have in food storage. I must remember, though, not to use shortening. It makes the food taste like "bleh".
Applied for what could be a dream job today, back at my old work. Sent off an email to a contact to help drive home the point "I WANT WORK NOW". I'm ready for the 2 hour commute, but I'm scared that the pay is too good for someone of my... lack of job history. This might be a cultural thing, because I'm still living in the framework that I'm only worth just over minimum wage. To put it bluntly, if I manage this job, I'll be able to live a plain life and pay off my loans in a year and a half.
Lisa came over today and we watched some of the Warcraft III clips. The scenes that use the in-game models are a riot when the characters run. For whatever reason, I don't really have the urge to go onto WoW anymore, although I still have a strong interest in Warcraft canon. Managed to reserve two of the books - The Last Guardian, with Medivh's backstory and Lord of the Clans, with Thrall's backstory - from the library. It's not high art, but a guilty pleasure. I still have to read the book Katie has, Cycle of Hatred, if only for the "Thrall/Jaina lol" parts.
I also have The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents sitting around needing to be read. I also need to catch up on Bone. It sorta sucks that the library only has the Scholastic coloured versions. Look, I don't want the shiny coloured pages, I just want my plot. D:
