My mom is in the hospital until further notice.
She's had a bad infection for the past week and we've been running her back and forth from an out patient clinic so she can get a daily IV. While it has been improving, the doctors are worried that it's not clearing out fast enough and having an infection this long might cause more complications than we already have - the infection as already inflated her blood sugar, slowing down the healing process.
Right now, the hospital has put her on much stronger meds, but in turn she needs to stay in the hospital for observation. This is probably a good thing, because she was having bad reactions to the earlier meds. If there's no change in the progress tomorrow morning, they'll have to do a surgical drain.
I'm scared, but I believe that the reasons are more psychological. I don't like it when people are admitted to hospital due to personal reasons. The more I think about it, the more it's like when my cousin was sent to Sick Kids last winter and that worked out fine, mostly. This is going to make job searching tough, though.

Just gotta hang in there until she's okay, and then life'll go back to normal.
