Dec. 7th, 2006 05:00 amOkay, back when I was a Star Wars geek (oh dear...), I used to swear that "I've seen everything but Droids! I wanna see Droids!" Droids, of course, being one of the cartoon spinoffs that ran in the mid 1980s.
Except, the truth is, I've seen Droids! I watched the opening and... despite not remembering it watching the program before, the opening song and whole sections of the animation were like a trigger. Suddenly, I clearly remembered watching it on Global at my grandmother's condo as a kid.
I've had scents react like memory triggers before, but this is the first time I've ever had such a pronounced one for something visual.
Oh. And that theme song? So 80s.

Date: 2006-12-09 07:00 pm (UTC)Good, you're not the only one that noticed 3CP0 looked a little odd. Actually, the whole opening seems odd. Not as just plain wild as the Holiday Special, but it definitely lacks that "epic" and "complex" feel that prequel trilogy was pushing. It be old school Star Wars, yo.
