What sucks is when you work on a project for a while, leave it to clear your head, and return to find out that it's not there anymore.

Correction: It's there, but an older, stupider version that I trashed about 10 days ago. There goes countless minutes of wasted effort.

EDIT: I am annoyed, so let's play the game "Who's the Sellout?"

Is Disney trying to reach new audiences by whoring themselves out? Are the bands giving into the Disney machine? YOU DECIDE.

The only scary part is that this creates a nasty chain of connections.
Goth/Emo folks like Nightmare Before Christmas. Nightmare Before Christmas is the darling child of Tim Burton. Tim Burton's idol was Vincent Price.

Goth/Emo folks that dress in black and complain that the world cannot understand their genius... they might be trying to find deeper meaning in House on Haunted Hill, Theatre of Blood and Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine?! NO! NO! NO!

I wouldn't worry about it. Nothing is quite so linear. A good goth (if there was ever one) should find the good in Vincent Price but liking Mr. Price does not one make a Goth/Emo. In fact I think a lot Goths already have some weird interest in all things 1950s and (early) 1960s so I think its already there.

But no worry. Dr. Goldfoot liked, well, gold and that ain't gothy!

My main beef is with the people who take it too seriously. The more love for Vincent, the better, but treating his acting like it's fine art is goofy. I'll have to check, but I think that he even said that he wanted his performances to be a parody of more serious films and actors.

It reminds me of how anime fans often state that Fullmetal Alchemist as a serious commentary on war and religion when the original author admitted that she intended it to mostly be a homage to b-movies. Ugh.

Speaking of bad-but-funny movies, have you seen MST3K The Movie? If not, I'll burn you a copy for Saturday.
