Sep. 2nd, 2006 03:05 amTeletoon has Space Ghost Coast to Coast, finally! I got into again because Mike and Lisa have been coming over and watching tons of it. I am still very glad I bought my DVDs, because Teletoon did their duty and f'ed up the episodes. Here's the episode list that Teletoon provides. I believe they're going to follow it, since Bobcat and Hungry played tonight.
Bobcat
Hungry
Sleeper
Jerk
Explode
Lovesick
Transcript
Sharrock
Boo
Jacksonville
Art Show
Rehearsal
Gallagher
Anniversary
Zoltran
Speck
Zorak
Switcheroo
Mayonnaise
Now, I can understand not airing all of season one because everything before Banjo was pretty awful. The ending to Bobcat was passable, though. They also had the foresight to include Hungry, because otherwise the best joke in the episode Zorak doesn't make any sense. We're also getting Sharrock, which is considered one of the more bizarre episodes.
Sadly, there's still problems. A secondary "bonus" to the ending joke in Zorak requires seeing Banjo. Jacksonville is the second part of a two parter. I love Jacksonville and it's one of my favorite episodes, but the "plot" begins on the episode Glen Campbell. While Sharrock is on the list, we're not getting other "odd" episodes like Story Book or Woody Allen's Fall Project. Several running gages come from early episodes that aren't being shown. Maybe it's a rights issue preventing the episodes from being shown.
It's kinda odd watching the episodes on TV for the first time. The Interrupt Feed/Start Feed bits don't quite work, because there's not enough commerical breaks in the program. It probably still is one of the better Adult Swim shows that Teletoon picked up. Robot Chicken is amusing enough and I've discovered that Harvey Birdman is alright. As for Squidbillies, Tom Goes To The Mayor and 12 oz. Mouse? Uh... NO. Before Steff and Karen tackle me, I have yet to track down The Venture Bros. I heard it's on Mondays, though.

Me thinks it's an issue with who owns the broadcast rights, because Cartoon Network doesn't exist up here. I kinda wish it did, because the older Toonami and Adult Swim clips I've seen look really cool. I'm not too fond of what I've seen in the past few years, but the older material has a personality to it.
