teddogWow. Oil prices are falling. GO FIGURE. With the way numbers are dancing at the pump, this doesn't surprise me. It's still at Thunder Bay levels (91.1 cents is the best price I've seen), but it wouldn't shock me if it got back down to 80 cents.
Yesterday, I was just informed that it would be in my best interest if I got an apartment within the next three weeks. Apparently, my aunt and uncle are ready to buy a place in Oakville and want to sell off their place as quick as possible. Ugggggh.
Apartments. The first order of business.
Going to tour some now, but I need to kinda know how much I'm making. Laura said to aim for the $750 range. I've found some at $675 and $725, with all utilities included.
Mike and Lisa have offered to help move me in, since I helped them move into St Charles Place and they just got a car.
Hopefully Going to Get List
- A bed. My aunt says there's an extra double bed in Walkerton.
- There's also a desk/dresser unit I might be able to snag for free.
- They mentioned they might be able to give me their table and chair set, but I don't know. Plus, it's big.
- I want to keep my bedside table/stool, but that's just me.
Need to Buy List
- Something to store my plushie collection. I'm thinking of this unit, which both my brothers and Laura have used. It looks like it could work well and it's CUTE.
- Bookcases. I need bookcases like a hole in my head. Mom wants my book/DVD/CD collection out. Everyone likes the Standard IKEA bookcase, including myself. Mom had one that withstood 15 years of my abuse, so it should go a long way. They also have CD/DVD/VHS towers, but I think I have too many things to make that a logical option. Especially tapes.
-Bathroom crap. Probably going to hit up Canadian Tire for that. That said, some of these are pretty. I'm an IKEA whore.
- Kitchen crap. Ditto. I have to rebuy a lot in my case, since I sold my stuff to Mandy up north.
- New bedding. The bed I might get is a double, not a twin.
- Phone and internet. I don't want both a home phone and a cell phone at once, nor am I 100% sure of cell or home line. Maybe I'll bundle. Ugh.
- Oh. And FOOD, because that's important.
Really want, but probably can't afford at the moment.
- New monitor for Jean. Something like this, cheap but it's for an aging Mac.
- DVD Recorder. I want. I want so bad. I need to transfer my VHS tapes to DVD. It would make it easier to share my recored crap.
This is way more effort than need be. Plus this head cold is kicking my butt. I have no energy whatsoever.
Doesn't help that work is a complete and total mess at the moment. I don't hear anything on the "inside" of a major project, but what I've picked up is not good. Doesn't effect me, exactly, other than I've been told I can benefit from the silliness of upper management in this case.

Beds and bookcases, definitely good things!
Ooooh food good too.
But...a cold. Now I know a cold is a bad thing. Blah. FEEL BETTER! That's an order, Commander! :)
