The world needs more fun, stupid crap. I am here to provide.

I'm amused by the excesses popular culture and that includes cheese. In massive amounts. Tonight we'll be taking a look at the cheesier side of the one night stand: The Fantasy Suite.

Fantasy suites are nothing more then themed hotel rooms. Well, they're all that and more, depending on the room. I'm a firm supporter of different strokes for different folks (ha!), but sometimes you just need to question those strokes.

First up on our lovely tour is the Fantasyland Hotel, out at the West Edmonton Mall. Most of these suites are "average" (not counting the truck suite), although the Luxury Igloo Room. Note the main bed; round, nice mirror on the ceiling. People are going to use that bed to screw around in. Now, note the location of the kid's bunk beds. Yeah. Better hope those kids are sound sleepers.

Okay, okay, now you're saying "But I wanna see some WACKY themes!" Let's move on to them...

The Sunset Inn and Suites doesn't allow kids in their suites. Although some of the themes are average (Roman, etc), there's a neat amount of detail. At the Pearl Under the Sea room, guests can "be entranced as you watch the TV/VCR/DVD combination rise from inside the treasure chest". The Hawaiian Waters suite has a TV in the bathroom, "so you will not miss a second of your favorite program". The photos of all the rooms are worth looking at. Apparently, building themed suite's was the owner's life-long dream.

The Hospitality Inn has two very insane themes: Beer Baron and Devils Food Magic, and the humour is in the beds. Devils Food Magic lets you sleep in a giant cake. With candles. I fail to see the turn on in that. The bed in Beer Baron is a beer vat.

The Adventure Inn has a nice wide range of wacky themes: Games, Batman, Zodiac... it does have a bit of a ghetto vibe.

Grand Hotel and Suites caters to kinks, from the looks of it. Check out the caged bed in the Lion's Lair. Is that a little too much? Try the piano room. The Space room looks like it has a pimple on the wall.

Now... I've saved the best for last. The most mind melting one of all. Theming and insanity.

FantaSuite Hotels. The website is part of the entertainment. Let's see some highlights...

- Cheese vat tub.
- Bed with shackles. NOTE THE PEOPLE IN THE 360 PANORAMA. They look so unexcited.
- Actually, most of the paroramas are riots. Especially when the people in the shots are sitting on the beds looking bored. There's one with a man passed out on the couch. Try to find it. :)
- Swinging bed.
- Race car bed.
- Dungeon with pizza.
- Hotel version of make out point.
- Enjoy the fantasy of Moby Dick! (why?)
