Okaaaaay, where do we start here...

I decided to mess with ripping PoG audio. The is the audio from the episode Death:
http://teddog.com/pog/audio/episodes/death.mp3

If you download this PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK. This is my first time and I want to improve the quality if I do this again. Share this link with your friends. This series needs love. :P

Few things of note:

- This is taken from a Booktelevision cut of the episode. It is missing the Second Nature opening and other details and maybe some interviews. I can't say for sure, because I missed taping a complete version of this episode back on Space.

- The "Comedian" that pops up (sounds like Rick, but with a different accent) is supposed to be an alien comedian that Rick is watching in the background... or something. The scene explaining this isn't included in the BookTV cut. The point was to lighten to mood, I think.

- Nance has one line, which popped up after Rick's graveyard story and before his claim of becoming immortal. The line was "You're on Much!", referring to Muchmusic, Canada's answer to MTV. That's why Rick's requesting a music video in the clip of himself.

- This is my first time trying this. There are "pops" in the audio. I don't think they affect the quality of the episode, since most of the bad ones are towards the song at the end and the Second Nature closing.

- There are other audio flaws, but it's 4 AM and I need to sleep! I'm not going to try to capture this a third time.

- I compressed the heck out of this sucker. Hopefully it's listenable.

- On the content of this episode, this episode is very dark for the series. Rick needs a hug. He's usually not this depressed. :( Steff, Maybe that makes him Early!AU!IP&S!Rick. ;)

- Speaking of IP&S, this is the birthplace of the graveyard story. Yeah. THAT ONE.

It's no worse than my Boston Blackie tapes that I bought awhile back. I don't know if you want to be compared favorably with fifty year old records transfered to castte, but I think it's fine.

Heh. 5 year old VHS recordings are not known for their audio quality, and it's worst when the Reality One parts had questionable audio to begin with to match the setting.

Downloaded! Actually... amazingly... Rick's voice is a lot like I imagined it to be in my head. Maybe just a touch higher pitched, but real close.

Good RPing, Rach; you have his tone down well enough to imprint a pretty close voice in my head.

Oh, that's pretty creepy.

Maybe part of the reason is that I just love Rick's voice. It's so cute when he's happy and spazzy (and that doesn't happen often in this episode).
