I feel silly... oh so silly...
Dec. 20th, 2005 03:23 amTas! You been following Daily Dose of Imagery lately? This image came up and I was like "Oh! That's the club where we curled up in the doorway and waited for the downpour to stop. I never noticed the contrast before between the club and the deli. Now I really wanna go to a good deli. Heh, I'll give it 2 days.
Does Thunder Bay even have a nice deli?
Oh yes, and tonight I went with friends from college to the Sushi Bowl. We figured it was the last time we'd have a chance to see everyone. I had a hot night roll, which was okay. Again, something more along the spicy vein for me, but it was too close to a hungry roll. It always annoys me that Sushi Bowl doesn't realize that "spicy" and "salmon" can coexist without "cream cheese" and that egg IS a sushi ingredient. The gyzoa was good, though, as was the ice cream.
I'm going to have to have Laura sniff out a good noodle place while in Toronto.
Things I want to eat while in the big city!
- Noodles.
- Sushi. Cheaper and better than Thunder Bay sushi.
- Smoked meat sammichs! There's a place in downtown Toronto that gets it's meat from Lesters and offers the old fashioned cuts. Mmmm... Laura, you're so coming with.
- Crepes. So good, but so rich.
- Slushies. :P
- Anything from The Pickle Barrel. I've always wanted to go.
- I've also wanted to go to Mr Greenjeans but that's a hangover from years ago and I'm not talking in my right mind.
I am a tourist whore for an area I grew up around. o_O
I'm feeling odd, homesick and bored. And we know what happened LAST time I felt like that. Well, some of us do and it's logged now, so Wooo to that. Odd note: The restaurant at the end of that may have been Organ Grinder. It's not stated, but I have a feeling it might have been just strange enough to have been it.
And now I'm not making any sense. ::uses the awesome icon for the heck of it::
