Pointless fluff that only a few peeps will understand, but hey...

I was joking to a few people tonight about pairing banners. And then I made some based around IP&S.

This is pretty much a parody of the banners from otp_banners. All credit for the idea goes to them; I just wanted a cheap laugh. Since these are RP-based, the pairings aren't going to make any sense unless you know, basically. Loose translation: If for some reason the pairing of Mike Nelson and Kitty Pryde upsets you on some DEEPLY personal level, take it outside. I mean, really. It makes about as much sense as 99% of the other fanon pairings out there. NONE of these could happen within their own canon, but they amuse us anyway. DEAL WITH IT.

Maybe I might make some more joke ones later (one of these is already a semi-joke banner. Guess which one!), since we all need our daily serving of Mice (thanks, Steff), Archie/Kitty, Devon/Government Cover Ups and so forth. Request away.

Feel free to C&P the code and post these puppies wherever. Spread the nonsensitical love!

Banners! Though, you have to admit that Mike/Kitty makes more sense than most fanon pairings out there... most of the slash comes to mind (go figure, considering that most of the slash authors aren't even juniors in High School). And Clay and Lorna is just positively inspirational!

Joel and Bonnie... well, you know my opinion on that. And, of course, I love the RICE.

Mike/Kitty does make sense within our context (and more than slash pairings would). I kinda want to see that pan out in terms of the difference in religious backgrounds and how they'd deal with them... it has nothing to do with my character being involved in the stag party to end all stag parties... not at all...

Mike/Kitty is sweet, Clay/Lorna is evily awesome, Joel and Bonnie are... ::coughs:: and you've heard me ramble on Rice too much already. Although I think I found the formula for deadliest Rice fic ever. I kill with cute.

Well, if you completely ignore the fact that one of 'em is from a TV show and one's from a comic book, Mike and Kitty are pretty much a great couple. Mind you, we're talking Clarmont's Kitty of old, not the new 'Alias' ripoff. I mean, how cute is a couple that's been dating for five years and still gets kinda bashful about kissing? EEeee! The cute kills.

The religious thing should be entertaining; Christian and Jew. I don't think it matters so much to those two, since Kitty's pretty much the token Marvel Universe Jewish girl and is used to being integrated with every religion under the sun (those X-Men are pretty diverse), and Mike's just kind of tolerant and doesn't have any qualms. It's the *parents* I worry about. Both sets are pretty devout... then again, they might just be happy the kids are FINALLY engaged and leave it at that.

...stag party... hehe... oh man. What I'm picturing, it's no wonder they probably won't even bother inviting the groom!
