teddogWHY DID NOBODY TELL ME ABOUT THE VIDEO SHOW?!? WHY WHY WHY WHY WHHHHYYY?
I was in HMV because Anne needed to pick up a special order CD. I decided to dig through the Genesis section because I wondered if they had any of the albums I still need. These are mostly the live albums, since they're a pain to track down. I glance down and see this new "GENESIS PLATINUM AND THEREFORE SHINEY SO REBUY EVERYTHING YOU ALREADY HAVE COLLECTION", which is... meh. But I look up and see a DVD on the rack. How very odd... So I picked up and my jaw hit the floor.
It's The Video Show: a bunch of Genesis music and promotional videos on one DVD. It was apparently just released on the 13th.
Do you realise how LONG I've waited for a disk like this to come out? This is seriously one of my dream DVDs come true! It's just below PoG and Red Green season sets on my wishlist.
And it's got "Keep It Dark", which is probably my favorite music video of all time. It is the height of cheese. Why are they running around in trenchcoats in the dark alleyways of some european city? Why are they playing invisible instruments? Okay, now it's midday and it's become a Tide ad; they're prancing around in a grassy field while wearing white suits! WTF?
I asked mom to pick up the disk for my birthday. :D
And on a darker note, I saw the dumbest thing ever at HMV. There was this 7 year old kid throwing a violent fit because his mother wouldn't let him get the first Family Guy boxed set. Right. I can stand small fits - I was once a kid too and remember being bored out of my mind while shopping - but over a Family Guy DVD? Again, my parents let me watch some strange crap growing up, but they watched it with me and never bought me videos, so I couldn't watch it on my own. *confuzzled*
