I don't know how much I'll like pop culture class. It seems to be filled with teeny boppers looking for an easy credit and/or a class about sex. Note the "seems". Problem is that the students who don't fall into this group are very quiet and don't speak up until they're pushed a fair amount. I was dumped into a random class group today and a few of the nicer (read: more interested in the subject matter) people were already discussing leaving the class. Dang it! Don't leave me with the Germans airheads!

Tas said that someone in her group claimed to have joined the class looking for hotties. WTF? You do not go to media and culture classes on the search for hotties. Media students sit on their cans all day and their appearence reflects this. Well, not when they starve themselves to make time to finish work or are sky high on ECA stacks.

Speaking of media students, most of the people in the class are social service, human resources and general arts and science students. Very few media students in general. I have no issue with odd courses joining a culture class, but don't take it looking for a bird course. Actually, I think it is. One paper, one test, three journal things and one oral presentation. That's NOT a lot. Pysch was heavier.

I REALLY think I should have joined Canadian History or something that requires some thought. The teacher talks about how this class is meant to challenge the students. HA. These kids would be challenged by opening a book. And the teacher doesn't like me. The twice when she spoke to me, it was like she was talking down to me and treating me like a child. Way to royally piss me off, lady. I might not look like the brightest crayon in the box, but I'm there to learn.

There's very few outside factors I work for, but one is respect. The teachers in my program give me respect and I give them respect. It's a two-way street.

I do realize that I shouldn't be getting all upset and cranky, but THIS is what has made me so frustrated and upset in the past. I really dont want to become bitter towards what I have a passion for, but it just keeps coming back.
