Results of the crash:
24 people with minor injuries.
No fatalities.
That's so awesome. :D
The early CNN coverage pissed me off. The announcer was trying to get a passenger to say that the service provided by Pearson potentially put the passengers in danger. WTF? If people were killed I could see people asking questions, but they all lived! Why are we trying to find fault? Celebrate the fact we all got lucky. Yes, "we all". This could have been a lot worse in many ways for southern Ontario. But, it's not. Tim Hortons for all!

Date: 2005-08-03 03:36 am (UTC)CTV sucks; they have the odd bright spot (unlike Canwest) but don't really "stand out" from the crowd. I liked it better when it was Baton Broadcasting and not so power hungry... and not claiming that CTV means "Canadian Television". Poor CFTO. ;_;
Nobody outside of the flight got hurt, but there's some worries about the environment: The air out in around Pearson has a funky smell apparently and there's a chance some fluid/fuel got into the creek. Etobicoke Creek feeds into Lake Ontario and I think that means that nearby beaches will be closed for a while.
