teddogFor those into that sorta thing and have satellite, Red Green is airing on SCN over the summer on Saturday nights. It comes on at 8:30 pm here in Hamilton.
I stumbled upon it channel surfing when the Adventures segement was on. The guide said "The New Red Green Show" so I was going to skip it since Comedy Network runs those years into the ground, but something didn't seem... right. It felt much lower budget. Don't ask me how I notice these things - I just do.
The next segement cleared up my confusion: They're starting the series from season 1! I haven't seen some season one episodes since I was a kid and Comedy Network doesn't air seasons before 3 anymore. The very early seasons of the series are just plain wacky and still amuse me after all these years.
True, part of it is remembering how my father and I rigged an old black and white TV with bunny ears to watch the CHCH broadcasts, since the only other TV in the house ALWAYS seemed to be in use. Which means it was a while before I noticed that some parts of the show were really in black and white. Plus, it's just a bunch of dorks having fun, long before the series got really big. ^_^
