teddogHave yet to discover why all Canadian FMA fans are freaking out over Teletoon saying that it has no interest in airing Fullmetal Alchemist.
Dude... it's TELETOON. I gave up on the station years ago and not because they don't air anime. Repeat after me: Teletoon sucks. Don't get all whiney over something which probably can't be saved.
Oh, and it has nothing to do with content. It's amusing to see all these people from outside Canada claiming the reason Canada won't see the series is because it's too harsh for Canadian TV. Right. FMA has NOTHING on some of the things I've seen. Remember, we're the country that aired the Sopranos on basic cable. Know about the state of a country's media before you open your mouth. It leaves too much room for a smart arse like myself to pick fights.
And for the record, I feel that Fullmetal Alchemist would be quite at home on Space. Don't let me down, CHUM!

Date: 2005-04-16 07:51 am (UTC)I don't think SPACE is the best place to air FMA. It is a station targeted primarily at young adults (18-34), and Fullmetal Alchemist is clearly a youth-oriented property, with most of its appeal rooted in 12-17 audiences. That's YTV's territory.
If SPACE ever airs anime, it will be something targeted at more mature audiences.
