WHY IS THIS TOWER SO ODDLY APPEALING?!?

It was demo'ed back in 1995. There's next to no info on it.

Opened in April, 1966, the tower stood until December 8, 1995 when, following deterioration in the seaside air and an encounter with Hurricane Opal, it was finally demolished.

This gives me a lame AU story idea. :P I hate that thing, it just breeds insanity.

So, know any towers that where built pre-1980?

Today, Rachie bought a Webkinz.

The trailer for Tales of Earthsea is out, making it the only anime thing I'm looking forward to at the moment. Manga is a different story, but anime? There's nothing really interesting other than Mushishi. Speaking of which, why isn't Mushishi licensed yet? It could be to Fantasy/Horror what Planetes was to Science Fiction.

And speaking of stupid, have you seen the new bus ads for V for Vendetta yet? Now, I know Alan Moore has disowned the film and I'm no picking sides in the "Who is in the right" debate, but the ads are proclaiming it as "A Starling New Vision of the Future from Wachowski brothers". Which it isn't on several accounts. The film is new, but based off of a comic from the 1980s by Moore, not by the brothers. Where does the original begin and adaptation begin?

Oh, and new icon again. To pull out an old fandom, the character is Syd from Maniac Mansion, an odd guy who is probably one of my favorite characters in the whole series. The text is refering to Perfect Tommy of the Buckaroo Banzai universe, who Syd was probably based off of.
