Why must anime series piss me off compared to their manga counterparts? I asked Amanda about the Planetes anime and I learned something upsetting.

THERE'S NO KURO!

Kuro is... awesome. Hands down the most surreal character in all of the Planetes manga. A darn cute kitty too. ( Major Spoilers )

Okay, so it's a LITTLE freaky and that's probably why he appears in only the manga and not the anime.

And on a less surreal note, an amusing chat log:

Steff: The first meeting:
Mike> :::like a flash, he leaps out in front of Gruen and shines the mag in his face::: NO! We are not interested in some literature!!
Me: Was that from a log?
Steff: Yeah.
Steff: Really old one.
Me: Good times.
Steff: Of course!
Steff: Mike> :::decides not to mention Nan-Cy being uploaded into the X-Mansion database::: Okay, Enrico... I guess I gotta put this in more plain english, since you're not getting the subtle hints. Enrico: What the hell? I though you didn't want any literature and now you're handing out copies of the Watchtower!
Steff: ::screams!::
Steff: Beautiful!
Me: Just made that up now. XD
Steff: I almost snorted my Mike's Hard Lime through my nose. Very nice.
Me: Enrico's not smart enough to say that. My dreams, they are crushed!
Steff: That's too bad. It was really good.
