The videos from 'Hacker came in today! Yeah, videoS, as in more than one.

I got the package today and the Customs Declaration read "2 videos", making me go "Huh?" because I thought that I was just getting the one tape with episodes of Portal on it. Turns out she also lent me a copy of the MST3K episode The Final Sacrifice as well, which I'll return soon. Totally cool, 'cause that episode has references to The Red Green Show. :-D

Oh, and I should be passing along my end of the trade late this week or early next. JP said I can borrow his VCR so I can build a quick dubbing unit.

And Tiff lent my her DVD copy of Army of Darkness, so I have lots of media to entertain myself with right now... AND NO FREE TIME! Grrr... I've got Programming, Flash, Electronic Publishing and Learning Theory assignments due in the next week and I lose 7 evenings between now and the 24th because I'm on crew for the hike.

Need sleep...

You know what's scarier than Grimace the McDonalds mascot? The original Grimace with four arms, not just two. I saw an image of that today and HOLY CRAP I'M GOING TO BE HAVING NIGHTMARES! *rocking in a corner* Evil... purple... milkshake... monsters...

I like Portal. I didn't like that stupid kid... Michael or whatever? I wanted to take that brat and smack him against a wall. The first episode on the tape also didn't sit well with me, but then potty humour isn't my thing, although talking to trees may be. The rest of the show was okay, cause I got the end of a story arc. *gasp*.

Maybe it was the episodes I saw, but Dave appears a lot more clean-cut than I imagined him. Compared to the other satellite dwellers (Joel, Mike, Rick), he seems to carry himself in a very different matter... I dunno. Why was Dave in the Hub to begin with? The last episode of the series mentioned he was the father to a chosen one or something. I think that the last eppy on the tape was the last in the series.

Which throws back to the discussion that 'Hacker and I were having a month ago. After seeing how the show works, yeah, Dave appears to "gifted" in his world hopping powers and I doubt that other people at random have them. He reminds me a lot of Zak McKracken from the LucasArts game Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, in that Dave's abilities are innate but he probably doesn't know the full extent of them. Unless there's more plot I don't know about.

Me still thinks that Nance could whip Val's butt. Val seemed a little of a pushover except in the last two episodes. Again, I really haven't seen enough episodes to judge.
