HOLY CRAP!

I haven't gone looking for BAD fic in a while, but I knew I found something *special* when I saw this posted:

Fullmetal Alchemist/Harry Potter crossover!

I can just imagine the logic behind this.... "Hey! Both canons have philosopher's stones! LET'S MESH THEM!" I can't explain why the author decided to go into list mode, although I'm not compaining because it results in less fic.

Summary: Ed's search for the philosopher's stone has brought him to Hogwarts! Just a few things, Al isn't going, Roy is. He's in first year and half of the first years are taller then him. He has a cat, (thanks to Roy). Meets Harry Potter. Oh and Voldemort is after the same stone.

Wouldn't it make more sense if Al gave Ed a kitten, all things considered? And why is Roy working in a library? Somehow I don't see flame and books mixing well. BURN, BABY, BURN! I think my IQ has lowered several points, but at least this stops the pain briefly.

I woke up at 4am for work and found that my mother had already left. When she got back she told me that she didn't bother waking me up because I was feeling sick yesterday. I'm still trying to get back onto a normal diet and my system is not happy from being shocked with drugs, pain and then a sudden rush to return to whatever passes as normal for me these days. In turn, my body doesn't always act the way I want and yesterday it was being stupid. Today it was better, but no one bothered to ask.

It does bother be when I am well enough to work and I get told that I'm not needed. Crap, my self-worth is next to nothing already. We don't need to make it any worse.

Rant of moment:
WTF is with people treating toy breeds as... toys? When my sisters and I were running around Yorkdale, this woman was walking into Holt Renfrew (*gag*) with a chihuahua in her arms. Yeah lady, I really think that your dog is enjoying a day out shopping. I think he'd be happier running around a park and pissing on trees. He's probably happy to get out of the house. The latest overpriced fashions mean nothing to a dog. Heck, dogs wear the same fur coat even if it goes out of style.

Just because it's a toy breed doesn't make it a thing to drag around with you. There are some toy breeds that are more fragile than other breeds, but a quite a few can stand their ground. They didn't all start small - most breeds have had their size bred of of them, although often they don't realize it.

Sure, you can baby a dog, but it's still a dog. It's going to have those natural urges that make it a dog and not, say, a cat. Treating a dog as a toy or even a small child just hurts the two of you.

Look, my toy mixed breed was partly feral when my late grandmother got him. He lived in a field out east and appeared at my relatives house every once and a while. Our relationship works in part because I give the dog space. I don't drag him freakin' everywhere with me.

Yeah... so... if I see another person toting a dog around a mall, I'm going to become violent.

All of the boxes in my room have hurled up their contains on the floor.

That's not a very nice mental picture, but my floor looks like that scene from This Island Earth when Cal and Joe have all the parts of the interociter sprawed on the bedroom floor. Only it's not interociter parts, but my own personal crap. Yay.

I give myself about a week to figure this all out. I didn't bring much with me to college, but after living up north for 8 months, you gain a fair amount of crap. And the worse part is that some of it is STILL up north - I put my winter coat and toaster oven and kitchen junk in storage for the summer. This is mostly my personal crap/computer/toys I'm sorting.

And speaking of computers, my keyboard finally died. It held on for a year and 3 months, but it just stopped working right. It had a problem where in the keyboard thought that the shift or control or command keys were stuck when they weren't. Usually the problem could be fixed by restarting the computer... but this time it wouldn't go away. I managed to swip mom's old one, so I'm back in business. It's annoying to look for old Mac keyboards on the market.

And I'm getting my new computer toy tomorrow. I've bought a few things for the new school year, like a Wacom tablet, but I'm excited about this one. I'm getting a USB watch, which I think is the coolest thing ever. I lost my normal watch around the time dad died and I need a USB storage unit, so it's a two-for-one. Hopefully the blasted thing will be in stock tomorrow like the store clerk said it would be.

I may name it, as I name most of my computer parts. Jesse told me it was odd that I've never named any of my computer toys "Nancy", although it's the name of my most favorite computer character ever (Me = hopeless computer fangirl). I dunno... I may name it Sal instead, for HAL's twin/sister or something like that.
