Jun. 9th, 2004 12:03 amI finished A Graveyard For Lunatics today. It's been a long time since I've read anything by Ray Bradbury and since he's one of my favorite authors, I figured I might as well start again now.
The book was good, even though the ending was rather so-so. Because it's a mystery novel, towards the end of the novel we get a dozen pages of the characters explaining their motives. Some of it is interesting, but a lot of it is just repeating what the reader should have picked up on earlier. I had one half of the plot figured out mid-way through the book, but I must admit that I let my guard down and missed the second half.
One small part that amused me was that the main character admits to storing candy bars in the fridge. Up until now, I thought that I was the only person to think of doing that.
Dang it, I could go for a cold chocolate bar right now.
