Oct. 10th, 2004 01:23 amI would really like it if I wasn't burned by people who claim to be me friends. In days where the world looks dim and dark, I think about THE GOBBLER and everything feels right again. A least briefly. Turkeys are funny, people! That's why we have a holiday for them!
Blah. I gots me an Ice Bori, like all the cool (read: LAME) Neopets players. His name is Brynja, which means "Armour". If you've never seen a Bori, they look like armadillos. Small problem is that Brynja is actually a female name, not a male name. I own a sexually confused Bori.
And I gots me a mildly overpriced PC laptop, but playing my old LucasArts games is much more of a hassle than it should be. Me needs to learn how to use Rescumm.
Ten cookies (the good kind) to the winner of who can guess what my PC got named. It's funny that I've never actually named one of my computers that before, since... you know.
These were my current, past and planned names of my other computers and named devices:
Original Mac: John (After "Brother John" from The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway)
Second Mac (and rebuild): Jean and Jean 2.0 (French version of "John" and name of the PM at the time)
Future Mac... whenever I get it: Havoc (As in Jean Havoc from FMA)
USB Watch: Sal (After Hal's sister/twin in 2010)
Palm V: Cecil (Pun based on the model number. My father named this one)
Old Apple Laptop: Smith (After Doctor Smith from Lost in Space)
Old External Hard Drive: Cloud (It ran on a program called "Silver Lining")
Another External Hard Drive: Syd (Another pun and a nod to Syd from Maniac Mansion)
I don't own John, Smith or Cloud anymore, and Syd is in storage somewheres. Most of my computers are "male", not counting my watch and my new laptop. Those are female. Don't ask me how I know.

Date: 2004-10-10 04:18 pm (UTC)Her networking name (true name) is Nance. After my sister teased me, I changed the My Computer name to Nano-Cybernetic 3000, which is Nance's full name. So now my computer is going to start to talk back to me.
*Cough* Those PoG tapes are going to be slightly delayed. I came back home and asked my brother if I could use his VCR. He said it needs to be cleaned and he didn't have a cleaning tape *headdesk*. I'm going to pester JP in res when I get back to college, since I know he has a working VCR I can borrow. You see, he records Star Trek and I know he's too cheap to own a DVD-/+R.
