Lumber.... we need lumber...
Aug. 8th, 2004 11:33 amI'm home sick from church. Apparently Jody is too, so I'm not missing much. He's still high on morphine from his back surgery. Yesterday he told me how watching a Fruitopia commerical while high as a kite enlightened him.
Laura is so going to kill me. I'm supposed to be planning a trip to Canada's Wonderland for the lot of us and I've been AWOL. Maybe I should email her. I mean, she's a nurse, so she should understand that I got sicker than anything from an oral surgery, right? RIGHT?!?!
WestJet isn't looking so hot either. I'm checking out the times for flights around Thanksgiving. Last year I ordered the tickets ASAP so I wouldn't get stuck at the last minute. This year the Jet of West is phasing out the Thunder Bay - Hamilton route. I thought I might be able to catch a flight home through Hamilton, but it looks like I'm not so lucky. There's only one flight a week to Hamilton and it's on Saturday afternoons. Because my classes run so late on Fridays, the earliest flight to Pearson I can manage is Friday, October 8th at 8pm... and I don't really want to complain about that. I like evening/night flights. Coming back is another story. I could fly home Monday morning, but the flights later in the day are almost $200! I could try Air Canada, but it looks as if the latest flight on the Monday that isn't out of price range is at 5pm.
Darn you Canadian airplane people! I'd have better luck taping wings to my arms and flying home that way.
I really want Chicken Soup right now. The Lipton not-really-chicken-so-I-can-eat-it kind, but I don't think there's any in the house.
